Stroke specialist Professor Martin Dennis noted other stroke symptoms.

The University of Edinburgh stroke expert revealed six lesser-known stroke symptoms.

Professor Dennis remarked that those with aphasia or dysphasia will mix their speech.

Thus, “may not be able to say anything, or understand anything”.

Professor Dennis elaborated: “Their reading and writing may be impacted.

“Because they cannot answer questions, laypeople may call them confused or forgetful.”

Thus, stroke symptoms include unexpected memory loss.

Sitting or lying down might cause limb numbness, but this is not a stroke symptom.

Professor Dennis also noted that strokes might cause hazy vision or blindness.

“Very, very, rarely a sign of a stroke on its own” is swallowing problems.

A brain bleed can cause a severe headache.

Sudden vertigo, double vision, weakness, or clumsiness, and slurred speech might indicate a stroke.
