New age health teachers are promoting IV drops, bone broth, intermittent fasting, juice cleanses, carnivore diets, and coffee enemas.

While the wellness business may have started as a movement to help individuals who thought medicine was failing them, it is now a $7 trillion sector, worth three times as much as the pharmaceutical industry. Over the past decade, wellness has grown from its late-1970s start.

Influencers, celebrities, and podcasters push this sector worldwide, which includes pricey health retreats, daily bone broth, jade eggs, and vagina-scented candles. Gwyneth Paltrow, founder of “Goop,” may be the most famous and notorious figure in modern health. The actress’s recent podcast comments sparked controversy and attention. She brags about her intermittent fasting diet while receiving IV nutrition in the podcast.

Besides that, the new wellness industry’s major issue is information. Self-proclaimed wellness trainers sell their goods to market them, and many fitness gurus have no training or certification. Misleading people hurts their health.
